Sin

We, the sellers of “sin stocks”, the military industrial pharmaceutical complex, the purveyors of guns, sex, money, and/or drugs invite you to share the profit from the reluctance of the majority to be associated with “sin” by entering the market for the time-sharing of sins. Following the successful incorporation of sin with an objectively artificially limited useful life, sin has now become forgiven, unfashionable, and/or no longer able to send you to hell, after and/or before consumption.

A sin shared is a sin after all halved and half a sin halved again has the exponential potential to become barely a sin at all. We are also offering fractional ownership of slightly less sinful sins; fringe sins for the discerning, hipster style sinner. The infinite scalability of the gravity of sins allows us to exchange a trendy small white sin for as little as the flavour of your salt and/or some of the luminescence beneath your bushel. Cross your own private Rubicon within your limited lifetime and in we will throw, (and for free) the sin of omission: “Thou shalt not kill but needst not strive, officiously, to keep another alive”.

Addendum: Mortal sins such as the aforementioned killing are not yet for public consumption as the destruction of the grace of God in the heart of the sinner is absolutely absolute and as such mortal sin is really only safe for corporations.

Morals

The guys that put the guys in charge are the guys in charge. Hence they put guys in charge that aren’t any threat to the guys in charge.

Look at the Donald and the soon to be Boris (Alex), sure they can have the top job because representative democracy is a total joke. A slight generalisation to be sure but people elect idiots because the guys in charge plant the idiot ideas in their minds through the media they are also in charge of.

Worth reading Albert Camus:

“There can be no question of holding forth on ethics. I have seen people behave badly with great morality and I note every day that integrity has no need of rules”

Integrity has alas no longer a broadly recognised social value. This large scale embrace of what once were considered, and still are in point of fact, seven deadly sins, is a social evolution sponsored by those in charge of value-making.

It bodes ill, not only in a Christian or moral sense, but in the terms of the building of ideals to acheive social goals. When everyone is only concerned for themselves you get a form of ego-inspired anarchy where nothing exists except for oneself.

If that doesn’t concern you then time to read Orwells “How the poor die”, the fate of the 95% is reaching out to the rest of us.

We have built an infrastructure that cannot be maintained, in order to finance the present overshoot and pretend tha business as usual is a viable proposition we are selling the future into a natural resource debt that is potentially fatal not only for most species but also for most of humanity.

And those in charge have determined that the only way of propagating this myth of eternal growth is by corrupting individual morals to the point where the cure is viewed to be worse than the disease. Those that make the running would rather embrace total disaster than give away a dime.
